Hello all,
I am not sure where to begin with the actual preparation for the fair, so I thought I would reach out to a few “players” to get your thoughts and direction. A few of us gathered in late October and did a bit of brainstorming. Nemo included a bit about the fair in the fall issue of the Town newsletter. Another update or reminder should go out in the next issue. As I will not be in Town until June 1, whatever I do will have to be done remotely. It is a bit discouraging as there has been very little feedback and few confirmed vendors, entertainment or food options to date. Is there a Town social media account? A Facebook page? A place to advertise? Sophia Randazzo has volunteered to help with advertising.
Some of the things we discussed:
Fair would run from 11 am to 5 pm on July 20, 2024 at The Grange
Me- sell ceramics and other crafts
Patty Kelder – baked goods/pies
Vic Pagano – hot dogs
Fire Department – Chicken – coleslaw
Aegean Flavor – Maybe they will provide a short window of time to sell their food (lunchtime)
Are they still in business/town?
Bob Zellner – ice cream sales or trays of lasagna?
Other vendors?
Sheriff’s Department – canine demonstration with specific times advertised
Magician performance as in the past
Petting zoo area
Cody Sugar Shack
Raffle tickets/Silent auction
Games – sailboat races, ducky race, corn hole
Tag Sale/Bag your wishes – cloth bags with logo for sale to fill with Attic Treasures (no
electronics or clothing)
Silent Auction – we would need donations
Tim Johnson? – syrup
Nana’s Attic? (Brad)
Load of firewood,
truckload of manure
Honey
Cheese
Crafts
Art
Offer of service – ie tree trimming, handyman service
Set up and Break down
