NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Section 506 and 1526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2021, the Assessor for the Town of Halcott, County of Greene, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been filed with the Asessor’s Office. Due to Covid-19 restrictions (Executive Order 202.22), the tentative assessment roll is available for viewing until Grievance Day online at the Town of Halcott website (2021 Tentative Roll.pdf) or in digital form upon request to the assessor. The assessor will be available only by phone (845-254-4233) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns.
The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 25, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing him/herself to be aggrieved. Grievances will be heard remotely ONLY, no walk ins. All complaints must include the Grievance form and written substantiation, and must be received via mail, fax or email before the end of Grievance Day. Application and instructions for filing a complaint are available from your assessor (call and we will mail you a form), or online at tax.ny.gov.
